ING Investment Management Americas of Hartford, Conn., has hired Jonathan Golub for the newly created position of chief market strategist.
He will be providing the company with economic insight as well as investment ideas for institutional and financial adviser clients, the firm said in a statement.
Mr. Golub will also participate in the asset allocation team.
Previously, he was a chief investment strategist for Bear Stearns & Co. Inc. of New York, where he helped with asset allocation policy.
Prior to that, Mr. Golub worked for JPMorgan Asset Management Holdings Inc. of New York as a U.S. equity strategist and co-head of U.S. equity client portfolio management.
"His insights have benefitted those looking to create and manage short- and long-term investment portfolios for their clients. Given the undulating and unpredictable market environment we're operating in, Jonathan will make it easier for our institutional clients and financial advisers to understand the complexities of the global marketplace," Rob Leary, chairman and chief executive of ING Investment Management Americas, said in a statement.
