RIIA Awards

InvestmentNews and the RIIA are proud to present the fifth annual Retirement Income Communications Award. This award recognizes the best in printed and new media materials aimed at helping advisers better prepare clients with income generating strategies as they head into retirement.

The deadline to receive entries has been extended to Friday, September 9, 2011.

Award Categories

The categories are open to printed or new media materials that provide research, insight or understanding useful to financial advisers who are advising clients approaching or entering retirement. The materials may provide an overview of the key issues that need to be addressed with clients, or they may address one specific issue in greater detail. Entries will be evaluated on how well the materials present the issue(s) being addressed, the overall usefulness of the information provided, and effectiveness of the design. Entries must have been produced and distributed between July 2010 and July 2011.

Category: Printed Materials

Printed materials may be in the form of brochures, booklets, pamphlets, white papers or original research.

Please enclose ONE example of the printed materials with your entry form.

Category: New Media

New Media materials may be in the form of online initiatives, such as intranet, internet, webcasts or podcasts, videos, CDroms, email and any other new technologies.

Please enclose ONE example of new media materials with your entry form. For websites, include the URL on your entry form and submit printed copies of highlights of the website, including the home page.

Award Finalists and Winners

Entries are reviewed and winners determined by the InvestmentNews editorial team and an advisory board comprised of financial advisers. There will be one winner per category. Winners will be notified by September 2011.

The award winners will be announced and the awards presented at the Retirement Income Industry Association (RIIA) Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner on October 3-4, 2011. For further information on the meeting and dinner, please visit: www.riia-usa.org.

Entry Rules and Regulations

Download the entry form, complete it and send it with all supporting materials to the address provided. Make sure to enclose ONE example of the printed or new media materials with your entry form. Please submit your entry form and all supporting materials in a single packet. Materials will not be returned.

More than one entry may be submitted per category, however, a separate entry form must be submitted for each category and for each entry. Please submit a separate packet for each category entered.

Only those entries that meet the criteria provided for each award will be considered. InvestmentNews will only review completed entry forms will all supporting materials.
