Similar to how Yahoo! rolled out the ability to customize your very own MyYahoo! page several years ago, Commonwealth Financial Network has now given its advisers the ability to take control of their COMMunity Link pages.

This allows advisers to tailor the homepage of COMMunity Link with all sorts of nifty widgets to reflect the pieces of information and workflow tools that best fit their needs.

You can click, drag and re-arrange the widgets to get them right where you want them.

“Widgets provide the technology to move away from a one-size-fits-all website, allowing our advisors to create the website they want,” said Darren Tedesco, Commonwealth’s vice president of innovation and strategy.

Popular among the available widgets are Alerts, Market Summary, Work in Progress, Last Households Viewed, and Commission Snapshot.

Here’s a brief video on Commonwealth’s widgets.
