Altegris Investments Inc. of La Jolla, Calif., has made two senior-level hires.

Valentina M. Glaviano, 48, is director of distribution strategy, a newly created position. She is responsible for distribution strategy and management, business development, and marketing and product development.

Previously, Ms. Glaviano was managing director, and head of exchange-traded funds and tradable-funds distribution, for Guggenheim Investments, part of Guggenheim Partners LLC of New York.

Christopher McCool, 34, has joined Altegris as vice president and New England regional director, responsible for regional sales, mutual fund and private-placement wholesaling. Previously, he was director of sales with Bennett Group Financial Services LLC of Washington.

Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP of New York has hired Brian T. Daly, 43, as a partner in its investment management and regulatory-and-compliance groups.

He is responsible for advising hedge fund and private-equity fund managers on regulatory, compliance and operational matters, including registration and disclosure obligations, trading issues, advertising and marketing, and the establishment of compliance programs.

Previously, Mr. Daly was chief legal and compliance officer at Kepos Capital LP of New York.

Madison Park Capital Partners LLC of Seattle has hired two executives.

Erik Ogard, 46, joins the firm as co-managing principal responsible for Madison Park’s portfolio management, investor relations and business development activities.

Previously, he served at Seattle-based Russell Investments as director of multistrategy solutions, asset class head for small caps and a member of the firm’s Global Innovation Counsel.

John Schmick, 53, joins as principal responsible for business development and client relations, primarily in the leveraged-distribution network of registered investment advisers.

Previously, he was a regional director for the Pacific Northwest at Loring Ward of San Jose, Calif.

Analytic Investors LLC of Los Angeles has hired George Matthews, 39, as head of consultant relations and business development.

Previously, Mr. Matthews was managing director at Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors LP of Los Angeles.
