An initiative that doesn't stop here ...
This special report represents the first of a three-part series on niche marketing, as well as a continuing initiative by InvestmentNews on the growing wealth of women and opportunities to serve them.
This report looks at how advisers can create a niche practice by appealing to the common experiences shared by women at various life stages, including divorce, widowhood and entrepreneurship. It includes a video available at InvestmentNews.com/ nichewomen that showcases one adviser's story of building her business to help divorcees reclaim their independence and secure a sound financial future.
InvestmentNews' commitment to cover the growing market of female clients continues throughout the year. Webcasts have been scheduled for April 9 (register at InvestmentNews .com/womenwebcast1), July 23 and Oct. 22 on how to work with some of these same female client bases, as well as women in retirement.
Three e-newsletters — slated for March 20, Sept. 16 and Dec. 16 — will continue our reporting in this area, as will a video this summer on women and investing.
The second installment of our series on niche marketing will be published Sept. 16 and focus on marketing to specific communities, such as minorities, immigrants and religious groups.
The third installment is scheduled for Dec. 16 and will focus on building a practice that caters to specific professions, such as doctors, military personnel and airline pilots.
