Advisors Ahead and Ron Carson's Peak Advisor Alliance are teaming up to bring coaching and other resources to aspiring financial advisers. The partnership will target college students and recent college graduates, and the firms involved say they aim to help the next generation get a leg up in an industry with a need for young talent.
The partnership will help established advisers connect with potential newcomers to their firms, said media liaison Marie Swift, president at Impact Communications Inc. It also will provide a number of scholarships to the annual Peak Advisor Alliance Excell Meetings, which feature speakers from the industry.
“The partnership is really about connecting supply and demand,” Ms. Swift wrote in an e-mail. “Advisors Ahead will supply the next-generation talent. Peak members have a growing demand for that talent.”
In addition, Peak's Digital Fortress online platform will be used to for virtual coaching sessions.
“Collectively, our two firms hope to provide insight and resources to new financial advisers to accelerate their professional development and provide leverage to existing successful financial advisers,” Mr. Carson, founder of Carson Wealth Management and chief executive of Peak Advisor Alliance, said in a statement. “The partnership addresses a growing need for new advisers to join the industry, gain experience and fill the shoes of their predecessors.”
Advisors Ahead offers programs to help students procure degrees and find jobs in the financial services industry.
