Merrill Lynch team managing $400 million moves to Raymond James

Two breakaway brokers in Greensboro, N.C., affiliate with firm's indie unit.

A three-person team that managed $400 million in assets at Merrill Lynch in Greensboro, N.C., has formed an advisory firm and affiliated with the independent broker-dealer arm of Raymond James.

David C. Anderson and George L. Hall II, along with Celeste Allen, their client associate at Merrill Lynch, have formed 1808 Capital Partners, which is the continuation of a business begun by Mr. Anderson’s father, who retired recently after a 50-year career with Merrill Lynch.

Mr. Anderson began his career at Merrill Lynch in 2001. Mr. Hall started at Merrill Lynch in 2006.
