SunTrust group managing $540 million moves to Raymond James ​

William Keaton and Alfred Sams III lead a group joining the brokerage firm's employee unit.

A group that managed $540 million in assets at SunTrust Investment Services in Georgia has joined the Raymond James employee unit.

The group consists of two brokers and five staffers, and will operate from offices in Savannah, Sea Island and Macon, Ga.

William H. Keaton, who leads the group with Alfred Sams, III, began his investment industry career with Prudential Securities in 1994. In 1998, he moved to SunTrust Investment Services in Savannah.

Mr. Sams began his financial services career in 2001 with SunTrust Investment Services, and in 2014 partnered with Mr. Keaton.
