Eight fund managers to watch
Picking top stocks and bonds is more of an art than a science, and so it was for the editors and reporters of InvestmentNews when deciding which mutual fund managers to profile in this special report.
We started out by asking Morningstar for the five managers in eight different categories who had the best performance for the past one-, three- and five-year periods. We also considered their funds’ expense and turnover ratios, as well as the managers’ tenure running the funds. We then vetted the names on that list with analysts and advisers.
Ours is a list of managers who either have proved their mettle over time or have shown promise for the future. As we said, it’s more art than science.
