There's great debate among comic book scholars — yes, there are comic book scholars — as to who exactly created Batman. Bob Kane usually gets the credit, but Bill Finger certainly had a hand in coming up with this iconic character. Issue #29, which was written by Gardner Fox and drawn by Kane, marked the second time the caped crusader appeared on the cover of Detective Comics. It would not be the last.
