10. Bill Davis
William "Bill" Davis, is a successful, globe-trotting civil engineer — perhaps the most successful civil engineer of all time. Davis lives in a fantastically lush Manhattan apartment at 600 E. 62nd Street. The split-level digs include quarters for a gentleman's gentleman, Giles French. Eventually, Davis' playboy days come to an end when he winds up adopting his late brother's three kids — Buffy, Jody and Sissy. In time, the kids became the stars of the show, and with each episode, actor Brian Keith had less and less to do. Really, how many different readings can you give to 'Uncle Beal! Uncle Beal!'? The popular show ran from 1966 to 1971, setting the stage for the Brady Bunch. You'll find better legacies.
