Complaining about gasoline prices has become the national sport in the U.S., but prices at the pump are actually quite reasonable compared to Europe. One reason: gas taxes are relatively low. Moreover, Americans tend to make a lot more money than citizens of most other countries (see the pain-at-the-pump ranking). Shockingly, the U.S. is the only country in the world where citizens 1) burn more than a gallon of gas a day, and 2) use the phrase 'a real talent' when describing Jessica Simpson.'
