Retirement checklist for Boomers
How will you handle health-care costs?
Health care can be one of your biggest expenses in retirement and costs have been increasing three times as fast as wages over the past decade, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation. Traditional Medicare only covers about half of a typical retiree’s health care costs. You’ll want to budget for the additional premiums of a supplemental Medigap insurance policy to pay for deductibles and co-payments not covered by traditional Medicare as well as Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage.
