Alexandra Armstrong is one of the first women to lead several advisory institutions, including the precursor to the FPA, the Foundation for Financial Planning. She is a principal at one of the D.C. Metro area's leading wealth management firms — in fact, she happens to be the first woman in the Metro area to have received a CFP designation back in the 1970s. She's also a winner of the FPA's prestigious Fain award.
