The lowdown: If you hear bond traders talking about sirloin, it may not be a conversation about steak. Instead they could be talking about the State Street Global Advisors and Blackstone actively managed bank loan ETF with a ticker symbol that sounds like a cut of beef. Floating rate loans have been incredibly popular with investors thanks to fears about interest rates rising. Mutual funds that invest in them have had more than $30 billion of net inflows during the first six months of the year, more than any other fund category, according to Morningstar Inc. So far, this fund's performance hasn't exactly been Grade A, but it's very early in the game.
