Here the larger concerns of investors approaching retirement come to the fore. While advisory clients across all investable asset levels rated cash-flow planning a valued service, it was among the investors who don’t have a financial adviser that this service rated surprisingly high — third (27.3%), just behind estate planning.
This was one of the few cases where advisers badly misjudged investors — just 5.9% of them said cash-flow planning would provide their practice with a growth opportunity in the next five years.
