Wes Moss is a chief investment strategist with a large public following in Atlanta, thanks to his hosting duties on "Money Matters," a long-running call-in investment and personal finance radio show on 95.5FM and AM 750 News Talk WSB.Social Security changes reveal a knowledge gap advisers can fill - https://t.co/stsuGdYXNOSaturday, Jan 30, 2016 3:45PM @WesMoss365
Mr. Moss' media reach extends to writing a blog for AJC.com, the website of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. And his book "You Can Retire Sooner Than You Think," just published June 1, is based on his research into the money secrets of the happiest retirees.
Mr. Moss' firm, Capital Investment Advisors, provides him with a substantial platform from which to build a personal brand. CIA has approximately $1.3 billion in assets under management, with nine full-time advisers and about 1,500 clients.
He joined the registered investment adviser after breaking away five and a half years ago, in the middle of the financial crisis, from his position as a UBS adviser. Now a partner and owner at his fee-only RIA, Mr. Moss enjoys the freedom that working for an independent firm allows him in terms of writing and hosting a radio show.
"Multimedia is a messaging tool for the career that I truly love," he said. "Helping families get to their goals — is a big deal for me."
Looking to the future, Mr. Moss hopes to help more investors with CIA's Wela Strategies, a unit of the firm that offers about a dozen all-exchange-traded-fund models for younger clients and the emerging affluent.
