CLIFFORD ASNESS Ph.D. Managing and Founding Principal, AQR Capital Management
Cliff is a Founder, Managing Principal and Chief Investment Officer at AQR Capital Management. He is an active researcher and has authored articles on a variety of financial topics for many publications, including The Journal of Portfolio Management, Financial Analysts Journal and The Journal of Finance. He has received the best paper award from The Journal of Portfolio Management twice. From Financial Analysts Journal he has twice received the Graham and Dodd Award for the year’s best paper, a Graham and Dodd Excellence Award, the award for the best perspectives piece and the Graham & Dodd Readers’ Choice Award. In 2006, CFA Institute presented Cliff with the James R. Vertin Award, which is periodically given to individuals who have produced a body of research notable for its relevance and enduring value to investment professionals. Prior to co-founding AQR Capital Management, he was a Managing Director and Director of Quantitative Research for the Asset Management Division of Goldman, Sachs & Co. He is on the editorial board of The Journal of Portfolio Management, the governing board of the Courant Institute of Mathematical Finance at NYU, the Board of Directors of the Q-Group and the Board of the International Rescue Committee. Cliff received a B.S. in economics from the Wharton School and a B.S. in engineering from the Moore School of Electrical Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating summa cum laude in both. He received an M.B.A. with high honors and a Ph.D. in finance from the University of Chicago, where he was Eugene Fama’s student and teaching assistant for two years (so he still feels guilty when trying to beat the market).

Keith Black, currently serves as Managing Director of Curriculum and Exams for the CAIA Association. During his most recent role at Ennis Knupp + Associates, Keith advised foundations, endowments and pension funds on their asset allocation and manager selection strategies in hedge funds, commodities and managed futures. Dr. Black previously served as an assistant professor and senior lecturer at the Illinois Institute of Technology’s Stuart school.
Dr. Black is the author of the book “Managing a Hedge Fund” and is a contributing author of the CAIA Level I and Level II textbooks. He has been published in a number of academic journals, including the CFA Digest. Institutional Investor Magazine named Dr. Black to its list of “Rising Stars of Hedge Funds” in 2010. Dr. Black earned a BA from Whittier College, an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University, and a PhD from the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Dean Choksi is the Executive Director of Finance and Head of Investor Relations of Fifth Street Finance Corp. (NASDAQ:FSC) and Fifth Street Senior Floating Rate Corp. (NASDAQ:FSFR) – both publicly-traded business development companies (BDCs). Mr. Choksi joined Fifth Street in June 2012 after over 10 years in sell-side equity research and sales.
Prior to joining Fifth Street, he spent two years as the senior consumer and specialty finance equity research analyst at UBS where he published extensively on BDCs and provided investment recommendations to institutional investors. Mr. Choksi also worked for four years at Lehman Brothers / Barclays Capital in equity research where he was responsible for following multiple financial services sub-sectors. Additionally, he has five years of experience in equity research and equity research sales roles at RBC, Wells Fargo Securities and SoundView Technology Group.

WALTER DAVIS Alternatives Investment Strategist, Invesco
As Alternatives Investment Strategist, Walter Davis serves as Invesco's primary alternatives representative to retail, high net worth and institutional clients across the major broker dealers, wirehouses and RIAs. He is responsible for collaborating across Invesco’s alternative strategies to develop a cohesive alternatives education program for financial advisors and investors.
Prior to joining Invesco in 2014, Mr. Davis served as a managing director in Morgan Stanley's Alternative Investments Department, and earlier as director of High Net Worth and Institutional Sales. Prior to Morgan Stanley, he worked at Chase Manhattan Bank in the Alternative Investments Department. He has worked in the industry since 1991.
Mr. Davis graduated cum laude with a BA in economics from the University of the South. He earned an MBA in finance and international business from Columbia Business School. He holds the Series 3, 7, 24 and 63 registrations.

Ms. Christine Johnson has been Head of Alternatives Product Management and Senior Vice President at AllianceBernstein Holding L.P. since December 18, 2013. Ms. Johnson joined AllianceBernstein's growing alternatives team and collaborate with senior investment and distribution executives to drive the growth of the AllianceBernstein's alternatives business. Her primary responsibilities is to shape a strategic vision and brand for the platform, focus the team on key business opportunities, and partner with distribution channels to position products and support client engagement. Robert Franklin (Frank) Muller, Jr. is executive vice president and head of distribution at Behringer. He also serves as chief executive officer of Behringer Securities LP. In this role, Mr. Muller leads the company's distribution efforts and directs institutional and retail sales strategies. In a career spanning more than 25 years, Mr. Muller has accumulated broad experience building and managing multi-channel distribution services for investment management sponsors.
In the two years prior to joining the company, Mr. Muller was a managing director and partner with Kiski Group, LLC, where he was responsible for sourcing capital for institutional investment managers in the alternative investment space. From 2003 to 2010, Mr. Muller was president and a board member of Hines Real Estate Investments, Inc. He served as vice president of Hines Advisors LP, which manages the Hines REIT and Hines Global REIT. Mr. Muller also served on the board of trustees and executive committee of the Investment Program Association—the trade association of the direct investment industry.
From 2000 to 2003, Mr. Muller was the national director of sales for Morgan Stanley's Investment Management Group in New York. Bob has been involved in Alternatives world for 30 years. Brian Singer is the Head of the Dynamic Allocation Strategies Team. Prior to joining William Blair and Company in 2011, he was the Head of Investment Strategies of Singer Partners, LLC. Mr. Singer was the former head of Global Investment Solutions and Americas Chief Investment Officer for UBS Global Asset Management. He was a member of the UBS Group Managing Board and Global Asset Management Executive Committee. Brian was a board member and former chair of the CFA Institute Board of Governors and is also a former member of the Research Foundation of CFA Institute Board of Trustees. He was elected to the Board in 2004 and previously served as chair of the Candidate Curriculum Committee. Dorothy C. Weaver is the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Collins Capital Investments, LLC, an investment management company managing multi-manager, multi-strategy funds of hedge funds, a position she has held since 1995. From 1989 to 1994, she served as Chairman of the Board of the Federal Reserve Bank of Miami under Alan Greenspan.

Kevin White, CFA serves as Senior Vice President, Investment Strategy & Research at American Realty Capital Properties (ARCP). In this role, he is responsible for articulating ARCP’s views on the U.S. economy and commercial real estate markets, providing portfolio analysis in support of the investment process, and leading ARCP’s research and strategy organization.
