Former Investors Capital rep barred by Finra

Regulator was investigating Matthew Peregoy's possible misuse of funds.

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority has barred Matthew Peregoy, a former broker with Investors Capital, for failing to take part in a hearing looking into his possible misuse of client funds.

Finra said that Mr. Peregoy, whose registration was terminated by Investors Capital in July 2016, was being investigated for possible misuse of customer funds and failure to disclose a civil judgment.

He joined Investors Capital in 2006, after spending seven years with The Investment Center. Mr. Peregoy began his securities career in 1993 at Capital Analysts and moved to Royal Alliance in 1996.
