OBS Financial Services, Inc. is headquartered in Whitehouse, OH but does not require the employee to move to Whitehouse. Your primary duties and responsibilities will include:
Exhibit a strong business acumen and executive sales presence to influence decision-makers.
Execute sales of an approved product list and provide service with regard to such sales to OBS customers.
Develop new relationships and maintain and broaden existing relationships with financial advisors in assigned market segment and geographical territory through targeted prospecting activities.
Thoroughly understand the philosophy and dynamics of the advisor/organization (investment philosophy, client base, product preference) and acts as a trusted advisor/consultant in matching needs with OBS products.
Partner with select advisors/firms to participate in special events, client seminars, and key producer educational meetings and events.
Plan and achieve sales objectives against specific sales activities / metrics utilizing a proven business development plan.
Develop and maintain a high level of expertise related to the capital markets, the investment management industry, and marketplace developments.
Work in team environment with assigned internal financial institutions service rep and other individuals who impact the success of the group.
Perform such other duties, in accordance with OBS procedures, as are customarily performed by one holding the position of a Sales representative and working to distribute the aforementioned product and service offering to Banks, Trust Companies, Credit Unions, Broker Dealers & Registered Investment Advisory Firms
The ideal candidate should possess:
Undergraduate degree, MBA preferred
Minimum of 5 years sales experience with progressive career advancement and increasing levels of responsibility.
Active FINRA Series 65 license minimum. FINRA Series 7 or the ability to obtain within 6 months of initial employment.
Broad asset management, financial services, or intermediary channel experience preferred.
Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding predetermined key objectives.
Strong executive presence, active listening, client preparedness, and presentation skills.
Professional characteristics reflecting curiosity, empathy, and enthusiasm coupled with a solution-based drive to meet highly accountable results.
Strong team-based selling and partnering skills.
Excellent wholesaler and relationship management skills.
Ability to work independently and adapt quickly and resourcefully to changing situations.
Ability and willingness to travel 50-75% of the time within the designated territory.
Achieves sales and sales activity goals within the spirit of OBSs Code of Ethics.
