Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies took a beating last year, but a recent survey of financial advisers shows there’s quite a bit of interest in the category among both advisers and their clients. For example, more than three-quarters of the advisers surveyed said clients had asked them about cryptocurrencies last year, and 19% of the advisers hold some type of crypto asset in their personal portfolios.
The 151 advisers surveyed by Bitwise Asset Management and ETF Trends included RIAs, reps from IBDs and wirehouses, and financial planners. The mean respondent had under $25 million in AUM, but 30% had more than $100 million.
