Standardizing the terms used in ESG investing
A recent SEC risk alert cited “the lack of standardized and precise ESG definitions.” The Investment Company Institute has proposed a nomenclature for ESG investing, but CEO Eric Pan says the SEC alert shows “more work should be done in this space.”
