Schechter names new COO

Alfredo Risi has been named chief operating officer at the Birmingham, Michigan-based boutique wealth advisory firm

A former executive director at HighTower Advisors, Alfredo Risi has been named chief operating officer of Schechter, a Birmingham, Michigan-based boutique wealth advisory firm.

Schechter provides investment advisory, private capital and advanced life insurance services and products to a select group of high net worth clients and their families.

Risi, who had served as chief operating officer of Fischer & Co. — which was acquired by HighTower in 2018 — also has held senior at Deutsche Bank and Merrill Lynch.

He will be based in New York.
