individual Awards

These Diversity & Inclusion Awards illustrate that diverse individuals can and do succeed in the financial advice business and their stories are meant to inspire others.

Our Lifetime Achievement winner has demonstrated outstanding leadership for decades. Each of our See It, Be It Role Models have at least 10 years of experience in the industry. Rising Stars have fewer than 10 years in the business, however, they show excellent promise to be an industry leader for many years into the future.

Rising Star

Pamela Brylski

VP Goldman Sachs & Co. Houston

When Pamela Brylski's parents emigrated from Nigeria nearly 40 years ago, they arrived here with very little but a strong work ethic and resilience. She wasted no time making her own mark on the world.

As a White House intern 13 years ago, she helped set up programs to coach female entrepreneurs in rural areas of Africa.

After getting into finance, she became a champion of diversity in the industry, helping educate and expose other professionals to the value of having a diverse set of opinions.

“It’s great to be a part of the financial industry at a time when diversity is top of mind,” she said.

Her experiences have made her a catalyst in recruitment of other females and minorities across the industry, such as her involvement with organizations like Sponsors for Educational Opportunity.
