Virtual practice management event for women advisers

Women adviser summit

Initial Women Adviser Summit of 2020 is May 14

The first 2020 Women Adviser Summit will happen virtually on Thursday, May 14. It will include business coaching and inspirational speakers spread over a two-hour morning session and a two-hour afternoon session. Each workshop or discussion will last 30 minutes.

The summit will feature popular speakers such as Susan Kay, vice president of MFS Fund Distributors and Kate Healy, managing director of generation next at TD Ameritrade. New presenters include FP Transition’s Christine Sjolin and Krista Goryl, regional manager of Wells Fargo Advisors’ western region, who will bring with her some of her highest performing advisers to share best practice tips.

The video-conference version of the Women Adviser Summit also will include Social Security guru and InvestmentNews contributing editor Mary Beth Franklin. She will host a virtual fireside chat with Shannon F. Eusey, CEO of Beacon Pointe Advisors, a $10 billion RIA. They’ll discuss the best practices and operational changes that Eusey has put in place during this unique business climate.

Given the time constraints of holding the Women Adviser Summit virtually, Franklin’s popular Social Security session has been moved to its own separate event on Thursday, May 7. During the 90-minute webcast, Franklin will describe Social Security claiming options, consequences of the pandemic’s impact on costs, and the possibility of do-over strategies. Register here for her webcast.

Additionally, Franklin will host a virtual bootcamp for advisers on May 19 where she’ll moderate panels of experts and focus on how to estimate and finance retiree healthcare costs. Register here for that two-hour video conference.
