Garrett Taylor is the founder and CEO of Coastline Wealth Management, one of the fastest-growing independent advisory firms in the US, with $3.7 billion in AUM and over 7,000 clients. For more than a decade, he has been building a firm where high-performing advisors thrive, and where growth never comes at the expense of service, culture, or client trust. 

 

As a leader of both Coastline and Elite Advisor Successions, Taylor is deeply involved in two major drivers of industry growth: advisor development and M&A strategy. He has helped transition billions in assets through acquisitions, tuck-ins, and succession plans by designing structures that protect legacy, enhance enterprise value, and empower advisors to continue delivering at a high level. 

 

Taylor began his career as an advisor and branch manager, which gave him firsthand insight into the operational and strategic challenges that limit many firms, such as limited scale, a lack of systemization, and unclear pathways for advisor advancement. Today, he applies a builder’s mindset to solving these issues and openly shares practical frameworks for AUM growth, advisor enablement, and scalable firm operations. 

 

Recognized by Forbes, InvestmentNews, and Long Island Business News for his leadership, Taylor  is a frequent speaker on topics including practice acquisitions, team structure, succession planning, and growing firms through transition rather than disruption. His insights come from direct experience, not theory. 

 

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Penn State, a Certificate in Macroeconomics in Money and Banking, and the CRPC® designation. He is also a founding member of EO Long Island and an active supporter of Make-A-Wish Suffolk County.
