Gerard Smyth serves as executive vice president – head of technology and service delivery of Ameriprise Financial, where he leads the company’s global technology strategy as well as critical service and support capabilities in Advice and Wealth Management (AWM).
He oversees core components of the Ameriprise technology platform, including infrastructure, cybersecurity, user-facing capabilities and ever-expanding artificial intelligence, automation and cloud portfolios. His oversight of Service & Operations includes the firm’s advisor and client support, project management and implementation, and transaction-processing capabilities.
Smyth has been with the company since 2002, managing digital and AWM technology for 18 years before joining the executive leadership team.
