Gryphon Wealth co-founders Jason Hyrne and chairman and Jeff Wyatt say that the RIA’s long-term strategy hasn’t changed despite its fully-independent status.
SEP 08, 2026

Gryphon Wealth completed its move to full independence in April, marking an important milestone for the Jacksonville-based RIA and its clients.  InvestmentNews caught up with Gryphon Wealth CEO and co-founder Jason Hyrne and chairman and co-founder Jeff Wyatt for an update on the former Wells Fargo team’s strategy and its work with Robinhood and TradePMR - they provided the following responses to our questions.

1. Can Gryphon Wealth provide an update on growth, both from an AUM and a client win perspective?

“Our AUM stands at just over $3.38 billion as of August 26, 2026. A meaningful share of that growth has come through our professional partners, who’ve made multiple introductions this year that converted into new relationships. Existing clients have done the same, largely because of the technology updates we rolled out this year, which have added new capabilities on top of the service they already valued. Several clients have expressed that those additions are one more reason they’re glad to recommend us to a friend or colleague.”

“Our marketing and community engagement work is also expanding awareness more broadly, which we see as complementary to that referral engine. Looking ahead, our pipeline is strong, and we’re optimistic for the growth we’ll see by year-end.”

2. You have previously pointed to potential upside from Robinhood, which acquired TradePMR last year. Does Gryphon Wealth have any update on that topic?

“We've been genuinely energized by our work with the Robinhood and TradePMR teams; there's a real sense of energy and excitement that they bring to the table. In early July, our leadership team attended TradePMR's Synergy conference in Washington, DC, where Robinhood and TradePMR lowered securities-backed lending rates for our clients and rolled out both the Robinhood Advisor Network and Robinhood Cortex for Advisors, an AI system built directly into Fusion, our account management platform.”

“Even more importantly is that both teams have shown real interest in, and support for, the client experience and technology we're building at Gryphon Wealth. Partnerships like this can generate a lot of noise; what we care about is whether the substance behind it serves our clients. So far, it has, and we're glad to keep building on it. We couldn’t ask for more.”

3. Can Gryphon Wealth provide an update on its long-term strategy and, specifically, its national growth ambitions?

“Our long-term strategy hasn’t changed: we want to serve more families across the country, and we’re pursuing that growth with intention. Growing for growth’s sake isn’t the goal; how we serve our clients will always come first.”

“That’s why, even as we grow organically, our focus remains on the technological foundation behind that growth: the systems and infrastructure that allow us to scale without compromising the advice, outcomes and exceptional client experience we’re committed to providing.”
