Snowden Lane Partners has recruited a former Citigroup veteran as a partner and managing director in its office in Coral Gables, Florida.

Christian Silva Lima Gherardi, along with Pedro Pelaez, who will serve as a private wealth advisor, will operate as the Gherardi Group serving high net-worth international families.

Gherardi has almost 30 years of industry experience, most recently at Bulltick Wealth Management for eight years where he and Pelaez were the top-producing team, but prior to that he was with Citigroup Investment Services and Citigroup Global Markets.

“We’re thrilled to have Christian and Pedro joining us in Coral Gables, as they’ve both built a tremendous track record in the international wealth management space,” said Greg Franks, Managing partner, president and chief operating officer of Snowden Lane Partners. “We remain committed to building our presence in Florida and our approach is grounded by adding industry-leading professionals such as Christian and Pedro.”

Pelaez also has nearly 20 years of wealth management industry experience and served as both a registered sales associate and financial advisor for the top-performing team at Citigroup Latin America where Gherardi was the top producer for 16 years.

“I’m looking forward to collaborating with Pedro once again at Snowden Lane,” said Gherardi. “We have both spent over 20 years in the international wealth management space, and as the industry continues to evolve, we felt Snowden Lane offered us the best opportunity to continue providing our clients with the flexible, goal-based solutions they have come to expect. The Coral Gables team brings their own international expertise to the table, and we’re excited to collaborate to achieve our clients’ financial goals.”

COLORADO EXPANSION

Snowden Lane has also added Schuyler Cayton and his father Wendell Cayton, who will serve as partners and managing directors in a new office in Golden, Colorado, the firm’s 14th nationwide.

The new Mountain West Advisors team also includes senior client relationship manager, Erika Winters, who worked alongside Schuyler Cayton at Wealth Management Associates of Colorado, an independent financial services company where he was principal and owner having previously worked as a financial advisor at Wells Fargo.

Wendell Cayton has 36 years of experience in the industry, having worked for Wealth Management Associates and Transamerica, among other firms.

Adding the Colorado office means that Snowden now has locations across 10 states and a presence in each of the contiguous states’ four different time zones.

“Schuyler and Wendell are exceptional advisors, and we’re thrilled that they’ll be leading our expansion in Colorado,” said Lyle LaMothe, chairman of Snowden Lane Partners. “We’ve long sought out a larger footprint in the Mountain West, and I’m confident the Caytons’ experience and knowledge will be invaluable as we begin serving clients in the region.”
