RFG has just expanded its reach in the East Coast as it supports the launch of a new wealth practice in North Carolina.

Crescent Private Wealth was founded by veteran advisor Ahmad Quqa, who made the leap to independence after seven years at Edward Jones.

With a background of 20 years in financial services, he sought a partnership with RFG Advisory to leverage its modern and comprehensive support systems for his rapidly growing practice catering to business owners and high-net-worth clients.

"Having diligently listened to the wants and needs of our clients over the years, we've been eager to implement a more client-centric approach that delivers personalized advice enabled by cutting-edge technology solutions," Quqa said in a statement, emphasizing how aligning with RFG would bolster Crescent's commitment to innovation and independence.

Joining him in the transition are Mona Amiri, Heidi Moreno, and Ibraheem Amin, his longtime support team.

"We are delighted to welcome Ahmad and his team to the RFG family," said Shannon Spotswood, president of RFG Advisory.

"One of our main tenets is 'supported independence,' and we anticipate significant achievements from Crescent under this partnership," she said.

The hybrid RIA’s expansion in the Tar Heel State comes not too long after it made key changes to its executive leadership.

In March, it welcomed Abby Salameh, an industry veteran from CAIS, as its chief growth officer.

“RFG’s fully integrated platform is precisely what advisors need to enhance their client experience, drive organic growth and build enterprise value,” Salameh said at the time. “Joining a team that’s so focused on innovation and defining what the future of the industry means is incredibly exciting for me.”

RFG also appointed Brendan Frazier to the role of chief behavioral officer, as well as Kenneth Kim, who’s now the firm’s chief financial officer after serving as head of corporate development and strategy for North America at FNZ.
