The National Futures Association has permanently barred former associated person Adam Leon from NFA membership. The decision, issued against Mr. Leon of Protrade Futures & Options, a former introducing broker located in Aventura, Fla., is based on an NFA complaint filed in August 2006. NFA's Business Conduct Committee found that Mr. Leon made misleading and deceptive statements that used a high-pressure approach in the solicitations of customers. This decision concludes the complaint brought against a number of Protrade's APs and principals who participated in sales practice fraud in their commodity futures activities.
