Tradeweb Markets, a global fixed income and derivatives firm, has acquired BondDesk Group, the company announced today. It will be combining technology and services from BondDesk and Tradeweb Retail to create a rebranded Tradeweb Direct retail fixed-income division. With the acquisition, Tradeweb will build a new “bridge” between the company’s current trading platforms to increase liquidity for customers. User experience is not expected to be different on the new platform and trading activity will not halt as the integration takes place. Tradeweb’s fixed-income division serves broker-dealers, retail and middle market investors.
