LPL adds new reporting tool to ClientWorks
Client Goals will track an investor's progress toward financial goals.
FEB 07, 2019

The latest addition to LPL Financial's ClientWorks technology platform is Client Goals, a tool that lets advisers create personalized reports for clients and prospects. The new technology, developed in partnership with Fiserv, examines the funding percentage and probability of success for a client's financial goals. Advisers can then use Client Goals to test how various scenarios would affect clients' progress toward achieving those goals Client Goals connects with LPL's client portal, AccountView, to provide reports to clients on their progress toward their financial goals. Burt White, LPL's managing director of investor and investment solutions, said Client Goals is designed to help advisers drive conversations and actions around goals. "We believe the best technologies are those that help deepen human connection," Mr. White said in a statement. "This capability, on the heels of the new proposal generation tool launched last week, form the first integral pieces of the adviser solution set that will help advisers develop stronger client relationships, increase efficiency and drive their business forward." LPL was unable to provide additional comment. The firm isn't the only financial institution using technology to help advisers focus more on achieving their clients' goals than on investment performance. Cetera and Morgan Stanley have also made client goals and financial plans a critical part of their next-generation adviser technology platforms.
