Cheshire Software Inc. has released an updated version of its Cheshire Wealth Manager planning program, which helps advisers develop both lifetime plans and simpler, goal-based plans for clients. The new version of the downloadable software, dubbed 2009F2, includes a “strategy” section that allows an adviser to create two or more scenarios and compare them side by side. The company has also improved the program's interface with Advent Axys. The software can now import the cost basis for each account and provides the ability to map Axys Asset Types to Cheshire Asset Classes. Another tweak is the ability to add loan payments, or enter “what if?” payments in which a loan is paid off in its entirety. A 30-day free trial download is available. The cost of the software has not increased since the last updated version was released in May 2008. A full adviser's license remains $900 per year, including updates and technical support. An assistant's license is $150 per year. E-mail Davis D. Janowski at [email protected].
