Advisor360 has added serious cred to its corporate governance as a successful tech industry veteran takes a seat on its board of directors.
On Tuesday, the leading enterprise wealth tech provider announced the addition of Milind Mehere, founder and former CEO of YieldStreet, to its board of directors.
"We are thrilled to have Milind join our board as we continue to expand our offering and add new clients,” Mike Fanning, CEO of Advisor360, said in a statement.
“Milind is an expert at growing companies and is passionate about leveraging technology to bring professional wealth management and investing guidance within reach of more individuals and families,” said Fanning, who stepped in as CEO of Advisor360 in May following the retirement of Richard Napolitano.
An entrepreneurial leader, Mehere has made a name for himself building substantial, scalable businesses and introducing new product categories. He’s perhaps best known as the founder of YieldStreet, which he led as CEO for nine years as he developed it into a fintech unicorn with 500,000 members and over $5 billion in investments.
Mehere also co-founded Yodle, an ad technology platform for small and medium-sized businesses, which grew into an enterprise with more than $200 million in revenue and grew to 1,400 employees. Yodle was ultimately acquired by Web.com in 2016 for $342 million.
Mehere's achievements have earned him numerous accolades. Apart from being a finalist for EY's Entrepreneur of the Year in 2023 and an Innovation Fellow at Columbia University, he’s a sought-after keynote speaker on the international stage.
Mehere's appointment coincides with a period of strong growth at Advisor360. Aside from Fanning taking over as CEO, the company recently tapped Abbe Gálvez Cordón, a former executive at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, as its senior vice president of strategy and corporate development. It’s also continuing to advance its digital onboarding platform and expand its client base.
Mehere expressed his excitement at the firm’s “cutting-edge work … doing to transform the way financial advisors and firms work.”
“Advisor360° is at the forefront of AI innovation and data automation in wealth management,” he said. “The company’s commitment to the end investor really comes through in how it serves clients.”
