NorthStar Systems International Inc. of San Francisco today rolled out a highly customizable wealth management platform that includes a suite of services building on the company's many individual offerings. The company is describing it as a "firm-tailored, on-demand solution for wealth management" that will allow those using it to customize risk questionnaires, investment policy statements, workflows, as well as services like market data feeds, trust and portfolio accounting systems, and in-house portals and systems, among other things. With the new system wealth management firms can provide a single integrated adviser desktop more quickly than other on-demand or on-premises systems providers — in weeks instead of months, according to Northstar. Various parts of NorthStar's suite are used by many broker-dealers and custodians, including BlackRock Inc. of New York, Legg Mason Inc. of Baltimore, Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc. of New York, Schwab Institutional of San Francisco and Wachovia Securities LLC of Richmond, Va. For more information about NorthStar, visit www.northstar.com.
