PlanPlus Inc. has introduced a free web-based community edition of its financial planning software. Formerly called PlanPlus Web Advisor, the application has been rebranded as PlanPlus Planit and is being unveiled at the Institute of Advanced Financial Planning Conference in London. The community edition is available in English and three other languages and supports basic planning in 50 countries or jurisdictions. PlanPlus first released Chinese-, French-, and Spanish-language versions of its software in June. Once an adviser registers for the free edition, he or she will find 17 calculators, including a retirement goal needs analysis, a long-term care calculator and an efficient frontier analysis tool, among others. Professional-level upgrades come in four gradations, from bronze for C$50 ($46.11) per month to C$350 ($322.77) per month for platinum. Upgrading to the platinum edition of the software gets an adviser advanced features, including Morningstar data integration for over 20 countries, as well as advanced portfolio implementation capabilities, favorites lists, preferred portfolios and automated security selection. It also includes access to FinaMetrica risk profiling features. For more information visit PlanPlus online.
