New! The adviser's first stop for technology news and information.
APR 09, 2013
Welcome to Tech Connect, the new home for all things related to adviser technology at InvestmentNews. Here you will find the latest in technology news as wells as stories, blog posts and other content related to tech trends affecting the way advisers do business or relate to their clients. Tech Connect is also the new home of our new-and-improved technology directory. This comprehensive listing of almost 200 technology products and services has updated contact information and basic description for each. As you will see, the directory features seven core categories to help you narrow your search for particular types of products. An eighth “bundled” section is for offerings from a single vendor that encompass multiple modules or tools. We provide a free listing to every vendor that fits our seven core categories. We also offer premium listings for those who wish to incorporate their logos and other information into their listings. In a nutshell, Tech Connect is your one-stop daily venue for adviser-related technology. We plan to share external content from important sources and do some interesting things with video. Included among the latter are impromptu Google+ Hangouts to talk about breaking news or tech trends affecting the industry. Of course we will also provide you with a regular menu of more polished videos produced here in our studios or from the road at conferences. In the months ahead you will also find content from featured guest columnists on a range of technology and practice management topics ranging from social media to the ongoing need for industry standards or how APIs are being used make up for the lack of them.
