Sungard and EDGAR team up to streamline XBRL filings

SunGard Global Services, a Fortune 500 business consulting and IT company, is collaborating with EDGAR Online to develop an end-to-end service process to help businesses create XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language) files complying with Securities and Exchange Commission standards. This year, publicly held securities and banking firms are required to file SEC documents in the XBRL format. SunGard will export the BPO services to its centers in India, where IT workers document the XBRL files electronically using software developed by UBmatrix, Inc., an EDGAR Online-owned subsidiary. Global regulators, the FDIC, Banque de France, and Keane Federal Systems already use EDGAR's business solutions, which it delivers via Oracle and SAP, among others. Mailshell promises military-grade protection against DNS hijacking

Mailshell, a developer of Internet security engines, introduced its Mailshell DNS service on Monday. The security engine boasts military-grade encryption that closes security gaps on all visited websites, online banks and e-shops. “Personal data and financial information are at a greater risk from DNS hijacking and ‘man-in-the-middle' attacks than ever before,” warned Mailshell CEO Tonny Yu. The Mailshell DNS SDK relies on an AES 265-bit encryption that, according to Verisign Authentication Services, requires “trillions” of years to break. The software is backed up by a real-time LiveFeed watchdog, spread like a virtual fortress over 34 secured data centers in 12 countries on 5 continents. It also promises an ever-evolving security net based on LiveFeed feedback data provided by data shared by its OEM partners, a list that includes McAfee, CA, Check Point, ESET AVG, Avast, and NETGEAR, as well as from Mailshell's LiveReport. The data is checked daily to sniff out new attack vectors, security threats and suspicious online reputations. Mailshell DNS SDK is now available for OEM licensing.
