Many advisory firms are already invested in and rely on the comprehensive and complex Worldox application for their document management needs. Now another company — Trumpet Inc. — has come out with an add-on program for Worldox that is meant to help simplify the scanning and accuracy of filing documents. With the tool, Express Profile, a user can create a “file reservation” for a document that has yet to be scanned, which in turn will create a “file reservation ID.” From there, actual scanning of the document can be delegated to anyone who can operate a scanner, and all they have to worry about is applying that ID as the file name. The idea is that workers such as interns or part-time employees, who are untrained in the intricacies of Worldox or details about how the documents should be filed, can still scan and accurately file documents. An annual license fee for one to 10 users is $350 per user. For more information, visit Trumpet Inc.
