CAIS, the leading platform specializing in alternative investments for independent financial advisors, is launching a new division aimed at assisting advisors in portfolio construction and allocation to alternative assets.

Revealed at the third annual CAIS Alternative Investment Summit in Los Angeles, CAIS Advisors is an RIA that will offer a range of tools and solutions designed to streamline the integration of alternative investments into broader portfolios.

Neil Blundell, chief investment officer at CAIS Advisors, said the division will provide customizable model portfolios, multi-manager registered solutions, and advisory services to help advisors navigate the challenges of incorporating alternatives.

“Despite growing interest in alternative investments, advisors continue to face hurdles in allocating to alternatives, specifically how they fit into the broader portfolio,” Blundell said in a statement. “CAIS’ technology, combined with our advisory capabilities, enables financial advisors to streamline their alternative investment experience through an integrated suite of solutions.”

The customizable model portfolios will offer advisors asset allocation guidance, tailored to different client needs and risk profiles, by incorporating alternative investments available on the CAIS Marketplace. These tools will leverage CAIS’ technology to simplify the process of building and managing portfolios, providing wealth managers with more efficient ways to allocate client assets.

In a September survey, InspereX found nearly three-quarters of advisors consider custom portfolios, as opposed to model portfolios, as a valuable tool to help them stand out in the increasingly crowded wealth marketplace.

CAIS Advisors is also set to introduce multi-manager registered solutions, allowing advisors to diversify portfolios across a range of asset classes, including private equity, private debt, hedge funds, real assets, and thematic investments.

In addition to these offerings, CAIS will launch Compass, a portfolio construction tool that integrates with the CAIS platform. This tool will enable advisors to create and analyze portfolios, select products from the CAIS Marketplace, and execute transactions directly.

“Financial advisors are increasingly seeking solutions that simplify access to private markets, and we are excited to introduce a suite of solutions to help them build more modern portfolios,” said Matt Brown, founder and CEO of CAIS.
