Adviser managing $200 million at SunTrust moves to Raymond James

An adviser who managed $200 million at SunTrust Investment Services has joined the Buckhead office of Raymond James in Atlanta. (More: See more adviser moves in InvestmentNews' Adviser on the Move database.) Debbie Smith, who joined the firm's employee unit, had been with SunTrust since 2001. She began her financial services career in 1994 as a mutual fund analyst at Legg Mason, and for the next 13 years worked on product due diligence at J.C. Bradford in Nashville, Tenn., Wells Fargo in Charlotte, N.C., and SunTrust in Atlanta. In 2007, she made a career shift and became a financial adviser.
