Laura Cronin, enterprise transformation officer at Fidelity Investments, is leaving the firm, marking the third announcement of a departure by a top executive at the firm this year. Ms. Cronin, a 14-year executive at Fidelity who at one time served as chief financial officer of the firm from 2002-2005, is leaving June 30, said Vincent Loporchio, a spokesman. The firm has not yet announced if it will replace Ms. Cronin. She reported to Tony Ryan, chief administrative officer. The departure of Ms. Cronin comes at a time when many at the firm are speculating who will replace Edward C. “Ned” Johnson III, 79, as chairman and chief executive officer. In January, Rodger Lawson, the company's president, announced he was leaving at the end of March. Later that month, Charles Goldman, president of Fidelity's Institutional Wealth Services division for registered investment advisers and the National Financial Services LLC correspondent-clearing unit, announced his departure.
