Consumers who track their finances online increased their household spending by an average of $400 during the second quarter, compared with the previous quarter, reversing an 18-month trend, according to data released today by <a href=http://www.Mint.com>Mint.com</a>.

Consumers who track their finances online increased their household spending by an average of $400 during the second quarter, compared with the previous quarter, reversing an 18-month trend, according to data released today by Mint.com. The Mountain View, Calif.-based website said its users spent an average of $12,216 during the second quarter, up from $11,810 during the first quarter and down from $13,780 in the second quarter of 2008. The online personal-finance service gathered its data anonymously from an estimated 1 million users who use the website.
