Fiduciary Trust International, a global wealth management firm under Franklin Templeton, is enhancing its ability to engage with ultra-affluent clients in the East Coast with the hiring of a seasoned planning specialist.
The firm, which boasts $102 billion in AUM and AUA as of March 31, 2024, has announced the appointment of Kevin F. Flood as senior relationship manager in its New York office.
With over 30 years of experience in private wealth management, Flood has built up a wealth of expertise in managing complex multi-generational relationships – a must for a firm that’s served individuals, families, endowments and foundations since 1931 – and driving revenue growth.
“Meeting the needs of intricate client relationships, especially those involving high-net-worth and multi-generational dynamics, is a top priority for Fiduciary Trust International,” Anne Fitzpatrick Donahue, regional managing director for the firm’s New York office, said in a statement.
Fitzpatrick highlighted Flood’s lengthy track record that encompasses the areas of private wealth management, tax and estate planning, along with “his proven ability to manage multi-generational relationships.”
Those credentials, desirable to any high-net-worth individuals and families looking to place their wealth in competent hands, “make him an ideal fit for catering to the needs of our firm’s most sophisticated and complex portfolios,” she said.
“His client-focused approach, exceptional leadership, and commitment to fiduciary excellence will enhance our offerings and drive growth,” Fitzpatrick added.
Flood's multi-decade career includes a lengthy tenure at Wilmington Trust, where he served as senior vice president and senior wealth advisor. During his time there, he managed a team responsible for $870 million in assets under management and $1.3 billion in assets under administration. His performance earned him the Wilmington Trust Chairman’s Club Award and the President’s Council Award.
Earlier in his career, Flood held vice president roles at U.S. Trust/Bank of America and life insurance giant Mutual of America.
He holds multiple professional planning designations, including the certified financial planner designation from the CFP board and the Sports & Entertainment Accredited Wealth Management Advisor, which the College for Financial Planning introduced in 2022 and was later rolled out en masse by Wells Fargo in 2023 for its advisors serving those industries.
Flood is licensed in life and health insurance and real estate in multiple states, and is an active member in the Financial Planning Association at both the national and New York Metro chapter levels.
“I am honored to join Fiduciary Trust International,” said Flood, citing the firm’s reputation for “exceptional client service and fiduciary excellence” and its “commitment to innovation and global reach.
“I look forward to working with our talented team and leveraging our advanced offerings to address the complex needs of clients, especially those with multi-generational wealth,” he said.
