The Medallion Group of five independent investment advisory firms has joined the Fusion Advisor Network’s partnership with NFP Securities Inc. The additions bring the number of Fusion/NFP partnership firms to 125. Fusion provides business consulting and practice management services while NFP is the network’s broker-dealer. “Their culture of always acting in the best interest of the advisor and the enthusiastic reviews from their current firms convinced us that we will not only find a place where our business will be serviced well, but a place where we can grow and share ideas with other like-minded advisers,” said Lorraine Flowers, a board member of the Medallion Group. The Medallion group includes the Gartenhaus Financial Group, Flowers & Zellers Financial Advisors, Cornerstone Investment Advisors, Craig and Treff Financial Services and the Flower & Desiderio Financial Group. Collectively, the firms report over $350 million in assets under management. This type of service partnership has been popular among independent firms and Fusion is currently one of the faster-growing firm’s in the space. “Fusion is very selective and only adds firms that have demonstrated excellence in serving their clients as well as a commitment to managing their businesses,” said Stuart Silverman, the CEO of Fusion. “The Medallion Group firms fit these criteria.” Fusion is looking to expand its network even further in 2010. “We are really looking forward to working with our new firms,” Mr. Silverman said. “The desire to put clients’ interests first, the focus on wealth management, the interest in sharing best practices with others are all characteristics that we share [with our firms] and why we believe that we can contribute to their growth as well as learn from their experience and expertise.”
