InvestmentNews has kicked off an integrated initiative to help financial advisers better serve female investors.
The program — Women and Investing: What Advisers Need to Know — consists of a special report on women and investing that will appear in the April 9 issue, webcasts on April 17, Aug. 14 and Oct. 30, and e-newsletters and videos.
“As the number of women investment decision makers grows, the InvestmentNews initiative provides an opportunity for advisers to learn more about women investors and how best to work with and serve them,” said Suzanne Siracuse, publisher of InvestmentNews.
Women influence investment decisions in 60% of households, according to the Census Bureau, which translates into decision making on more than $14 trillion in investible wealth. Over the next decade, some estimate that the amount of assets belonging to female investors will swell from $8 trillion to $22 trillion.
