Raymond James continues RJA recruitment streak with Morgan Stanley tandem
The two advisors who reportedly managed over $360M extend the broker-dealer giant’s reach in Florida and Colorado.

Raymond James has expanded its employee advisor channel yet again with a pair of experienced advisors from Morgan Stanley.

The firm announced that it recently welcomed a team managing more than $360 million in assets, led by Gary Perl and Katie Janda.

The former Morgan Stanley advisors joined Raymond James & Associates along with practice business manager Sharon Brown and client service associate Elisabeth Perl.

As the Perl Group of Raymond James, the team operates offices are based in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, and Fort Collins, Colorado, as part of RJA’s Ponte Vedra Beach branch.

Under the leadership of South Atlantic regional director Gregg Stupinski, they work with a diverse base of clients that includes business owners, corporate executives, families and healthcare professionals, as well as corporate retirement plans.

Perl, now managing director of wealth management, brings more than 34 years of industry experience. His career began in 1990, and he had spent the last 15 years at Morgan Stanley before making the switch.

“[We chose Raymond James] for its long-standing, client-centered focus that respects and emphasizes the relationship between advisors and their clients,” he said in a statement, highlight the firm’s alignment with the team’s values.

Janda praised Raymond James’s “support for the advisor-client relationship and its warm, approachable culture,” as well as its focus on “the human side of investment service.”

Her 18-year career in the industry includes time at AMG National Trust before her recent two-year tenure at Morgan Stanley.

Perl and Janda’s move to RJA builds on several recent additions to the unit this month, including a multigenerational trio from Baird in Indiana and a breakaway JPMorgan advisor in Texas.
