Stifel Financial Inc. of St. Louis has nabbed three Wachovia Securities LLC brokers in Phoenix. Larry Herring, Joe Hagen and Kenn Hugos, all legacy A.G. Edwards & Sons Inc. representatives, resigned from Wachovia's East Camelback Road branch yesterday to open a Stifel office. Joining them were sales assistants Michael McCluskey and Kelly Roberts. Mr. Herring, a 15-year industry veteran who has been with Edwards for 10 years, will manage the new office. Mr. Hagen is a 25-year industry veteran who spent most of those years at Edwards. Mr. Hugos is also a 25-year veteran who has worked at Edwards since 1992. The group was recruited by John Lee, former Pacific Coast regional director for Edwards, who joined Stifel last August to build a Western presence for the firm.
