Team managing $100 million at Merrill Lynch goes indie with LPL

A father-and-son team managing $100 million at Merrill Lynch in Lufkin, Texas, has formed Brookshire & Brookshire Wealth Management, an independent hybrid. The firm has affiliated with the broker-dealer unit of LPL Financial and is using its corporate registered investment adviser. His son, BJ, joined the firm in 2013.
